The best European men's and women's rugby teams from France, England, Switzerland, Georgia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and other countries have taken part in the tournament.
The Rugby Europe 7s Clubs Championship was established by Rugby Europe in 2006. The Rugby Europe 7s Clubs Championship has traditionally featured 12 professional men's rugby teams, but since 2016, it has expanded to include women's rugby teams. The tournament has gained widespread recognition in the global sports community. In 2018, a permanent Office was established in order to organise, hold, and promote the Rugby Europe 7s Clubs Championship.
